O2 Student Information Students who are interested in becoming part of the O2 Program must fill out the application and submit it to the O2 Coordinator. Students must be accept in Grade 10 and meet all requirements in order to graduate with an O2 certificate.
An O2 Candidate: When seeking for the perfect O2 candidates, we look for:
Students who are not achieving their academic potential.
Students who wish to explore or develop skills in the community setting to prepare for a career or further study.
Students who prefer to extend their learning in a community setting.
Students who can develop the capacity to meet safety and other requirements of community based learning.
Students who express a willingness to undertake a Learning Agreement that details the commitment to their studies.
The O2 Student: When students are accepted into the program, the students must meet the following requirements to graduate with the O2 certificate:
Community Based Learning 10 (100hrs)
Career Development 10
Career Development 11 (1/2 credit)
Workplace Health and Safety 11 (1/2 credit)
3 Cooperative Education (Three 100 hr work placements)
Graduation Requirements mandated by the Nova Scotia Department of Education
